z2rs is a clean-room reconstruction of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly to run directly in your web browser. Built frame-by-frame against the original NES game, it brings modern enhancements while preserving the core experience.
How to play
Drop your own Zelda II (USA) .nes ROM file onto the screen when prompted. The ROM is checked via a CRC32 hash (BA322865) in your browser tab and never uploaded anywhere.
- Player 1: Arrow keys to move,
Zfor jump,Xfor attack,Enterfor start,Shiftfor select. - Player 2 (local co-op):
WASDto move,Gfor jump,Ffor attack,Tfor start,Rfor select. Gamepads are also supported.
What you need
Files from your own copy of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. The page asks for them before you can play.
Good to know
The port includes support for widescreen rendering, optional HD graphics packs, local and online two-player co-op, save states, and randomizer features.
