D2-Web is an unofficial, open-source reimplementation of the Diablo II: Lord of Destruction 1.13c engine, compiled to WebAssembly to run directly in modern web browsers. Developed by Virtastic, the project allows players to enjoy single-player sessions complete with towns, wilderness, dungeons, combat, skills, items, and vendors in a browser tab with nothing to install.
How to play
- Use a desktop browser like Chrome.
- Provide your own game files by selecting your local Diablo II installation folder or dragging the required
.mpqfiles onto the page. - Once all files are loaded, click enter sanctuary and select single player to create a hero and start playing.
What you need
Files from your own copy of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. The page asks for them before you can play.
Good to know
Your game files never leave your computer and are read directly inside your browser storage. Multiplayer features like Battle.net are disabled, focusing purely on the single-player experience.
