OpenSGolf is a free, open-source reimplementation of the classic golf course management game Sid Meier's SimGolf (2002). Written in Rust and compiled for the web, it allows you to build golf resorts, design holes, and play matches right in your browser without needing any installation. The game can read assets directly from an original copy of SimGolf or run using its own included free graphics and sound.
How to play
- Click to build, drag to scroll, and right-click to undo or close menus.
- Use the mouse wheel or Z and X to zoom in and out.
- Touch controls are fully supported for phones and tablets, allowing you to tap, pinch to zoom, and drag to swing.
What you need
Nothing to install or upload. It can start with its own free graphics, or use files from your copy of Sid Meier's SimGolf for the original art and sound.
Good to know
- The project is licensed under the GPL-2.0-or-later.
- Saved games are stored locally in your browser's storage, with options to back them up as zip archives.
